Erasmus+ staff mobility for teaching outside Europe - KA171

The Erasmus+ Programme KA171 supports teaching and training mobility of the staff of the University of Padua with grants for teaching/training periods at higher education institutions in a non-European Programme Country, provided that an inter-institutional agreement is in place between the University of Padua and the receiving institution abroad for the relevant year.

Who can apply: teaching staff (including adjunct professors) of the University of Padua (in specific cases, CEL and non-teaching staff).

In the case of researchers recruited with PNRR/NP fund, they can participate only if they do not have other European funds intended for International Mobility, this to avoid any double funding.

Duration of the mobility: according to the Erasmus Guide, there is a minimum 5 days and a maximum of 60 days, excluding travel time. However the call is limited to a maximum period of 14 days including travel days. During this time, there is a minimum of 8 hours of teaching per week (or any shorter period of stay). If the teaching activity is combined with a training activity during a single period abroad, the minimum number of hours of teaching per week  is reduced to 4 hours.

Grant: according to the tables of the Programme. It varies according to the travel distance between the University of Padua and the receiving institution, and the duration of the stay.

If the expenses actually incurred are higher than the assigned EU grant, the exceeding part may be supplemented by the teaching staff member with their own funds.

Health Insurance coverage: for health insurance coverage during your stay abroad in countries outside the European Union, EHIC coverage is not sufficient. It is therefore necessary to take out private insurance. For further information on the insurance coverage abroad guaranteed by the University, consult the university website.
