The name of the nursery honors an extraordinary and resilient woman, a tireless scholar known worldwide, who was first a student and later a colleague of the most prominent international physicists. Massimilla Baldo Ceolin, known to everyone simply as "Milla," was one of the pioneers of particle physics, and her groundbreaking research earned her legendary nicknames such as "the lady of the neutrino" and "the lady of the antilambda."
The choice of name for the nursery not only celebrates the achievements of this remarkable scientist but also aims to highlight and promote the presence of women in the field of science. This is in full alignment with the nursery’s commitment to advancing gender equality and social justice, reflecting the institution's dedication to promoting equal opportunities.
