Matteo Marangon started his career at the University of Padua, where he received a PhD in Wine Sciences in 2008. In the same year, he moved to South Australia to work as a Research Scientist at the Australian Wine Research Institute. In 2014, Matteo joined Plumpton College/University of Brighton (UK) to lead an MSc program in Viticulture & Oenology, before returning to the University of Padua in 2016. There, he is currently an Associate Professor of Food Science and Technology and has been leading the MSc program in “Italian Food and Wine” since 2020. In 2023, Prof. Marangon became the departmental delegate for internationalisation activities. His research focuses on innovative extraction methods from food and wine by-products, wine macromolecule interactions, and protein haze formation and stability in wines.
