Stefania Lucchesini in 2004 took her first M.A. in Humanities, and then, in 2006, her second M.A. in Linguistics, both at the University of Florence, where she completed her PhD in Linguistics in 2010. Her final dissertation focused on the relationship between neuroscience and theoretical linguistics in autism.
During her PhD she focused on language disorders in children with autism and specific language impairment, while, in her post-doctoral activity at the University of Florence (2011-2015), she concentrated on auto-echolalia in mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer's disease patients.
Currently, she is a post-doctoral fellow at the Free University of Bolzano-Bozen, where she is participating in conversational analysis-oriented project on classroom interaction.
