Dr. Romens has worked for over four years as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Milan-Bicocca and the University of Padua. She earned her PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Padua, an M.A. in Political Science from Sciences Po Strasbourg, and an European M.A. in Human Rights from the European Inter-University Center in Venice. Before conducting research in academia, Anne-Iris Romens worked with various institutions and non-governmental organisations in France, Italy, Colombia, and Brazil, including over three years as a Research Assistant at the Council of Europe. Her research interests focus on migration, care, social reproduction, labour process, industrial relations, and remote work, which she examines through an intersectional and decolonial lens.
