Paolo Bonaldo is full Professor of Cell Biology at the Medical School of The University of Padova. He authored 176 full-length publications in peer-reviewed journals (74 as first or last/corresponding author), including several high impact journals such as Nature Genetics and Nature Medicine. His research activities focus on the role of extracellular matrix molecules in organ physiology and pathology. His experimental approaches include the generation and exploitation of animal models for human disorders, and his team has a long-lasting expertise on mouse transgenesis for functional genomics and pathophysiology, with a major interest on cancer biology and neuromuscular disease. He is co-inventor of five patents.
